The Gen2.1 (released 2023) is the latest iteration of our Aegis belt; the Gen2 buckle is made from glass-filled nylon, resulting in increased corrosion resistance, decreased weight, increased convenience when traveling via commercial airline, and a decreased price from the Gen1. The Aegis belt is 1.5" wide and 0.15" thick, and is composed of 2 layers of the newest version of our proprietary scuba webbing (2 color choices). This makes a Gen2.1 Aegis as stiff as a Gen2 (or Gen1) Aegis Enhanced was.
All components are made here in the USA (webbing, thread, and all parts of the buckle), and we sew them together at our shop in Central Ohio.
